De Steiger

The De Steiger industrial site with an area of approx. 22.1 hectares net is located on the edge of Almere Haven near to the A6. This site – along with the De Vaart industrial site – is where the first businesses were established in Almere. A number of businesses are visible from Noorderdreef but not from the A6. At this 'industrial site', there are quite a few manufacturing companies within the higher environmental category (up to category 3.2); standalone offices are not permitted here. De Steiger boasts fibre broadband internet. Except for a petrol station, the area has to rely on the facilities in the centre of Almere Haven. The site is collectively secured by the Stichting Beveiliging Bedrijventerreinen Almere for the members of the SBBA. There are national and regional businesses with production and distribution sites here. Businesses already present here include ED Collection, Connexxion, Holwerda Transport, Synclair Packaging, Praxis and a number of caravan dealerships. The industrial site is easily accessible and is 3 minutes by car from the A6 (exit 4). There are 2 bus stops at the site where you can get a bus that will take you directly to the centre of Almere Haven, 't Oor bus station or Almere CS.
